Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's your youngest age of enrollment?
We accept students who are two to five years old.
  • Does SSP teach using curriculums?
Yes! Please see the About Us page for more information on how we implement curriculums within our learning environments.
  • Do I have to pay tuition if my child does not attend a full week?
Yes. Tuition payments remain consistent regardless of closures.
  • How does SSP handle discipline?
At Stepping Stone Preparatory, we approach discipline through a gentle, respectful method rooted in Montessori principles, including the use of the Pink Rose technique. The Pink Rose symbolizes kindness, empathy, and peaceful resolution. When addressing behavioral challenges, we guide students to reflect on their actions and how they impact others. Instead of traditional punitive measures, we focus on encouraging positive choices, allowing students to understand natural consequences while fostering emotional intelligence. Our goal is to help each student develop self-discipline, respect for others, and a sense of personal responsibility, all within a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Are meals provided?
Meals are provided. However, parents have the option to bring their child's breakfast and lunch using a selected meal plan option. Call Director for details.
  • What's your potty training policy?
At SSP, we understand the importance of potty training and its impact on a student's development. Our potty training policy aims to be supportive and nurturing, taking into consideration each student's individual readiness and needs. We work closely with parents to create a consistent and positive potty training experience for each student. Please see our Family Handbook for more details regarding potty training.
